‘I think I’ve been here before’ at Honey Bones Gallery in Melbourne reflects on the conversations and practices of three artists; Julia Chetwood, Karen Hew Eriksen and Jess Riley. We explore the elusive nature of memory with references to time, intuition and deemed certainty, and ask ourselves where we sit within the constant cycle of past/present/future.

“This is a love letter” is a series of drawings, capturing that sweet, ellusive feeling of nostalgia for the present moment.

“June’s tapes” is a trio of paintings attempting to piece together and understand Nan: snippets from tapes she sent as postcards back to Australia when she moved to Greece in the 1970’s, silhouettes from home videos, and outlines of her hands from pictures taken by me in the years I knew her.


The Wurundjeri People of the Kulin nation are the Traditional Owners of the land on which I work. I pay my respects to elders past, present and future. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
