Best Short Film
🏆 Counter-balance explores the familiar feeling of the push and pull between the benefits and drawbacks of today’s technology. Our character is always connected, but often feels more alone - the unrealistic aesthetics of social media further distort her reality, until she is brought back to earth by a phone call from an old friend. Technology is neither good nor bad in itself, what is key is how we choose to use it.

A collaborative project combining bespoke graphics & animation, sound and music design, an original VR face filter, & even a 3D particle simulation. We then projected, shot and edited the animation into the piece you see now.
